We haven't had a picture of Coleridge recently, and Justin and I have been amused by his latest choice of place-from-which-to-view-the-world, so here - Coleridge proves he has fabulous taste in fiction by choosing a shelf which is home to Jack Kerouac, Laurie King, Milan Kundera, Cormac McCarthy, Carson McCullers, Ian McEwan and Orhan Pamuk:

(apologies for the terrible quality of the picture - it was taken far too early this morning just as I was leaving for uni when it was still dark, and no amount of photoshopping will improve it)

Like it - it brings to mind recent exploits of Cosmo (our ginger tabby). When travelling south a couple of weeks ago we were packing the car after an overnight stop when we could not find him (not in the usual places - under the beds; behind the hifi; under the sideboard). We had checked the pantry since he had hidden behind the wnie rack - but not this time. However when we turned the kitchen light on, two eyes showed up a couple of shelves up behind the pickles and sauces. A few angry miaows later and he was back in his travelling box.

A week of so later after I had taken my shoes off the shoe rack he found his way onto the gap left behind when the shoes were removed.

Oh how I wish I had a camera both times. I am sure Cosmo will oblige again in the future.

Yeah! I was looking for Tweets from Coleridge just last night. (never let it be said that clergy don't have fun on Friday nights)
